The Swift/BAT survey is the more sensitive and uniform than any previous hard X-ray survey. The all-sky coverage of this survey has resulted in the detection of new highly obscured AGN, but more importantly the luminosity of the AGN is accurately determined for all Compton thin sources. Since all the sources that do not have clear counterparts are followed up with Swift/XRT observations, identification of the counterpart or counterparts is secure. The accuracy of identification and confusion issues will be discussed. An update on LogN/LogS and the luminosity function of AGN in the 36 month survey will be presented. The prospects for the future from the Swift/BAT survey including preliminary results from the 54 month release will be discussed.
