We observed on 5 October 2004 a stellar area containing HD 180642 (166175 PPM). The image was taken on a 24×24 cm ORWO-ZU 21 plate, with the normal refractor f = 6m, d = 38 cm, FOV = 20×20 arcmin. We found in our plate archive an observation of Gallia asteroid made on 15 June 1939, in the same sky zone and with a similar exposure time. To study the dynamics of the star, we used both plates (measured on an Ascorecord machine with 0.0001 mm accuracy), choosing a centroid of the same 7 stars (coordinates and proper motions taken from the PPM catalogue). The reference epoch is 2000.0.
