In a two-temperature hydrogen plasma the phenomenon of the secondary shock wave (SW), localized at the electron heat conductivity wave front, was observed in numerical simulations of a spherical strong explosion. The primary and secondary SW have distinct propagation scaling laws and join into an asymptotic SW in a time of the order of relaxation time of electron and ion temperatures. Some applications of the observed phenomenon to old and young supernova remnants are discussed.
