Amenthes Planum connects volcanic province of Hesperia Planum
with Isidis Planitia. Amenthes Planum served as main path of
transportation of fluvial/volcanic materials. Formation of Tinto
Vallis consistent with groundwater sapping/volcanic processes. Palos crater outflow channel bears striking evidence for catastrophic
flood events.
