After an initial commissioning phase the Sudbury Neutrino Observatory has been taking production data for several months. The experiment is running smoothly and background radioactivity levels are falling, with parts of the detector already having levels at or below design goals. Atmospheric and solar neutrino analyses are underway as is the supernova watch. SNO is undertaking an extensive program of calibration and verification, with detailed studies of detector properties and backgrounds, as well as systematic uncertainties at every level. This program is progressing well toward obtaining the level of accuracy and robustness required by the difficult measurements that SNO is undertaking. Neutrino rates and other quantitative results from SNO will become available in the future after a full and thorough analysis has been made. This presentation on the SNO detector describes the status and progress towards results rather than results per se.
