During the 21st solar activity cycle, about two hundred solar γ-ray flares were observed by the γ-ray spectrometer on SMM and the γ-ray detector on the Hinotori satellite. Analyses of these observational data give a number of statistical characteristics concerning solar flare γ-ray emission. The author presents several characteristics, i.e. distribution of the occurrence rate for flares, time structure, distribution of event size, directivity, the relation of γ-ray continuum with other kinds of emissions, "MeV excess", as well as solar flare γ-ray line emissions. Finally, emission mechanisms of solar flare γ-rays are briefly described.
