The IRAS star sensor consists of four detector pairs, each pair
consisting of a scan detector and a skew detector. Each detector
consists of a silicon photodiode with a field of view of 15 min of arc
normal to the scan direction and 0.5 min of arc in the scan direction.
Detector characteristics and the electronics are described.
