The interlaboratory calibration granite and diabase standards G-1 and W-1 have been analysed for Rb and Sr mass spectrometrically by the stable isotope dilution method. G-1 was found to contain 216 p.p.m. Rb and 233 p.p.m. Sr, and W-1 to contain 28.5 p.p.m. Rb and 177 p.p.m. Sr. These results are compared to other published analyses for these elements. If these new analyses are accurate, several published works, in which G-1 and W-1 were used as standards for Rb and Sr, are in need of revision
