Spectrograms of the variable star PU Vul in the λλ3800-5000 Å spectral range were obtained during the time interval 26 August - 7 September 1979. The author presents the results of an identification of the absorption line spectrum and the measurements of the radial velocity for about 70 lines and blends, together with equivalent widths of about 50 lines. On the basis of spectral characteristics, PU Vul is classified as an F8 star wirh a larger luminosity than for normal supergiants. The histogram of radial velocities is presented and the mean value of the radial velocity is determined.
