The light curve and the spectrum from Mkn 421, as measured with the
HEGRA CT1 Air Cherenkov Telescope will be presented. The telescope has a
gamma detection threshold of 700 GeV in the zenith position. The
observation extended from January 22 to June 21. A total of 184 hours of
data are collected. The light curve will be compared with RXTE/ASM data.
