Orbital elements of the primary component of the eclipsing variable V346 Cen are derived from measurements of 44 spectrograms obtained with a dispersion of about 42 A/mm. The results suggest that the spectral type of the primary is around B5 V, that the secondary is of similar spectral type, and that the two stars are different sizes. It is proposed that the system is a detached binary. The interstellar Ca II K line is found to yield a mean value of 2.5 plus or - 1.0 (p.e.) km/s for the radial velocity.
