Photometric measurements through different pass-bands are used to determine the color-excess E(B-V) for O-type stars in the UV and IR spectral regions. The results are used to examine the extinction character of the stars. It is found that, in the UV, each O-type star has its own extinction character. In general, the visual and NIR extinction in the direction of O-type stars are normal.
