A new survey of southern dwarf galaxies is used to investigate the spatial structure of these systems. Isophotallike axial ratios are achieved by applying a Holmberg (1946) correction method. Comparisons with two former dwarf catalogs are made. The three-dimensional structure of the dwarf systems, separated in ellipticals, spirals, and irregulars, is determined by using a statistical method based on triaxial ellipsoid models. The dwarf ellipticals are belonging to the NGC 205 family in the sense of Wirth and Gallagher (1984). This dwarf elliptical family and the irregular dwarf systems seem to be triaxial systems, whereas late type dwarf spirals exhibit an oblate structure.
