Scientific paper

The program at the Uppsala Ionospheric Observatory includes measurements of parameters in the lower ionosphere important for modelling, and investigations of vertical coupling between the ionosphere and the magnetosphere along the geomagnetic field lines. E and F-region experiments to investigate electron and ion densities and auroral luminosity in the disturbed ionosphere are also included.
