We analyze the power spectra of both the solar mean magnetic field (SMMF) time series (magnetograph measurements at Stanford, cycles 21 and 22) as well as the N(+) and S(-) components in the entire frequency range. Separate investigation of the N(+) and S(-) component spectra shows a detailed pattern of space-time organization of large-scale magnetic fields on the time scale of one cycle and within cycles. Significant differences between the cycle power spectra point to variations in the magnetic structure space-time organization with cycle. The difference between the N(+) and S(-) component spectra within cycles defines the magnetic asymmetry.
