The authors describe the mechanical and electronic design of a
liquid-nitrogen-cooled silicon diode linear-array camera (AAK) and the
experience with a CP1001 and a redesigned RL1872FA/30 Reticon array.
First observations of the δ Scuti-type variable β Cas are
presented.
