Detailed studies of the semi-diurnal tide were made using two lengthy series of data from a meteor wind radar. Fourier transforms of the wind amplitude time series were computed and the inverse transforms then calculated, using windows of appropriate bandwith, centered on the component with a period of 12 hours. As well as giving information on the amplitude variation of the tide throughout the recording periods, it was possible to make a detailed study of the tide's phase variations on the two observing aerials.
