If intermediate-mass black holes (IMBHs) exist within globular clusters, they should occasionally tidally disrupt a passing star. The debris from the disrupted star would form an accretion disk around the black hole leading to strong X-ray emission. Some of the stellar debris is also expected to form a diffuse 10000 K photosphere around the black hole that can intercept X-rays from the accretion disk and reprocess them into optical nebular emission lines. We have identified a candidate tidal disruption event in a globular cluster around the elliptical galaxy NGC1399 that harbors both a >1e39 ergs/s X-ray source and strong [NII] and [OIII] emission lines. Here we present Magellan Mage 4000-9000 Angstrom spectra of a sample of 12 other extragalactic globular clusters that harbor >1e39 ergs/s X-ray sources in a search for additional tidal disruption event candidates.
