The second stage of the Antarctic Muon and Neutrino Detector Array (AMANDA-II), has been searching for signals from atmospheric and astrophysical neutrinos since February of 2000. High energy phenomena such as gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) are the most promising potential sources of such astrophysical neutrinos; by correlating observations with other ground- and satellite-based detectors, AMANDA is able to engage in nearly background-free searches for several dozen GRBs every year. We present here the final results from the 2000 GRB search, along with a comparison to prominent theories of GRB neutrino emission. The current status of GRB searches beyond the year 2000 are also briefly described.
