The scientific and creative road of Milutin Milanković (1879 - 1958) from his birth to the death is shown. Long-term climatic variations are specially discussed as a Milanković's high scientific achievement. His mathematical, astronomical, geophysical, climatological and other works are presented. Today Milanković theory and three parameters (the tilt of the Earth axis to the plane of the ecliptic, the longitude of the perihelion and eccentricity of the Earth's orbit) are in wide use. Milutin Milanković is one of ten famous Serbian scientists, but his work and his theory are better known abroad.
