Observations are made of four oppositions of the asteroid (16) Psyche. Calculations are made of the direction of rotation and of the coordinates of the pole lambda = 225 deg and beta = +5 deg. It is pointed out that in 1955, 1965, and 1980 the positions of the sun, the earth, and the asteroid in relation to one another are nearly the same and that their light curves are also similar. The rotational axis therefore undergoes no precession. This conclusion is consistent with the hypothesis holding that the rotational axis of the minor planet has no precession.
