A replica of the surface texture of a rock section is produced on a Lexan plastic surface simultaneously with fission track formation by neutron irradiation. This effect, termed `Lexan plastic print', is comprised of varying densities of tiny pits from ( n , ) reactions with B and Li. Calculations have been made to estimate the abundances of Li and B which produced observed pit densities.
