Ionospheric objective analysis algorithms have a variety of different data types available to construct complete, coherent specifications of the ionosphere. The Ionospheric Data Assimilation Three Dimensional (IDA3D) is an objective analysis algorithm that uses GPS slant TEC, LEO radio beacon slant TEC, ionospheric sounder peak electron density, GPS occulation TEC, incoherent scatter radar electron density profile, and satellite in situ electron density measurements to construct reliable, global electron density specifications. By comparing IDA3D results using each data type independently, we will demonstrate the strengths and weaknessess of each data type.
