As the Oklahoma Spaceport moves forward in the licensing process, the Board of Directors, along with the staff, of the Oklahoma Space Industry Development Authority (OSIDA) are using the encouragement of state and national leaders to continue in their progress. Currently, the agency is in the beginning stages of the Environmental Impact Study (one that is scheduled to last roughly a year-and-a-half. This paper addresses the processes a new spaceport must go through to meet the requirements set forth by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). It also outlines the agency's goals for the future.
