An analysis is presented of spatial and temporal distributions of vertical currents at high latitudes of the Northern Hemisphere for the summer and winter seasons; both currents that depend on the interplanetary magnetic field and those that are independent of it are considered. The direction and density of vertical currents are calculated for various high-latitude regions of the Northern Hemisphere. Theoretical results on the spatial-temporal characteristics of the currents are compared with Triad-satellite data.
