High-precision radial velocities of the M3.5III type IAU radial-velocity
standard star Gamma Cru over a period of 2.5 yr have been obtained. The
velocities show that the star is a low-amplitude radial-velocity
variable and is not suitable for use as a precise radial-velocity
standard. The star is probably a variable of the semi-regular class.
