The reasons for the unusually high U-Pb ages of meteorites are examined. A model is proposed for the evolution of uranium-lead isotope systems that contain captured lead of two types: primary and excess. It is established that a three-coordinate system makes it possible to calculate the age of objects governed by this model without prior assumptions about the isotopic compositions of the primary and excess lead. The Allende meteorite is used in establishing the model's validity.
