Additional spectroscopy and photometry of the peculiar objects He 2-442A, B was carried out in 1984. The strong H-alpha emission line in He 2-442B disappears when the spectrograph slit is rotated from PA 90 to 145 deg. This object might be a type B4 field star having nothing to do with the emission-line spectrum observed beyond He 2-442A. Infrared photometry of He 2-442A yields K = 7.00m, L = 4.25m, M = 3.45m, N = 1.36m; for He 2-442B there is no detectable signal (K not less than 9m).
