Reprocessing of EUV and X-ray radiation off a target fixed in the rotating frame of the cataclysmic variable AE Aqr has been suggested to explain a variable delay in the time of arrival of the coherent pulses from the star. It is shown here that reprocessing can produce pulses on the spin period with the observed dependence of delay on orbital phase. A qualitative discussion is presented of how reprocessing can produce pulses on the spin period rather than the beat period. A specific model is presented and fits of the model to the data of Robinson et al. (1991) are made.
