Probabilities of single-photon processes of electron-positron pair
production and annihilation in a dispersive medium with a refractive
index of less than 1 are obtained. They differ from the results of
earlier computations. An improved dispersion law is obtained for a
relativistic, superdense plasma in which these reactions can occur.
