The properties of the dust in the Orion Nebula were investigated, where the optical continuum is partially composed of starlight scattered by the dust. The characteristics of this scattered starlight are determined by the characteristics of the dust which did the scattering. From the properties of the scattered starlight, limits on the properties of the dust were derived.
