The two probes Pioneer 10 and 11 that left our solar system show an acceleration of a = -(8.74 ± 1.33) 10^-10 m s-2 towards the sun which could so far not be explained by some effect caused by the probes themself. One approach for an explanation of this anomaly could be that the gravitational laws do not apply at weak gravitational forces. Another is that there is an effect on the radio signal used to track the probes. This article covers both approaches and tries to show conclusions that arise from each probosal. So far the Pioneer Anomaly is a very interesting problem in physics today and has the potential to test our understanding of the laws of physics and if there should be new physics found, to give a better understanding of the universe.
