The periodicity of X-ray flare activity in AR5395 and AR6659 has been analysed. The existence of the intensity period of flare activity shows that the processes of energy storage and release in an active region have repeatability, including the magnitude of the energy stored has the repeatability. From the calculation the period of flare intensity for AR5395 is 24.49 hours, and 57.39 hours for AR6659. The distribution of flare indexes versus periods suggests that the energy stored within each period in an active region is approximately identical. The mean flare index in a period represents the energy building-up efficiency.
