The configuration, Monte Carlo simulation and testing result of Lunar Gamma-ray spectrometer used in the first lunar detection mission in China are described. The detector consists of a CsI(Tl) scintillator and PMT. The technique of anti-coincidence is used in background rejection .The energy range is 0.3~9.0MeV and the energy resolution is 9.0% (662keV)
