It is proposed that the pallasites should be classified as two groups: those with rounded olivine grains like Brenham, as the Brenham-group , and those with olivines of angular shape, like Eagle Station, as the Eagle Station-group . Since the olivines and nickel-iron are not soluble in each other, and in spite of their great difference in specific gravity, have not separated by gravity into two layers, it is suggested that the pallasites have been formed and solidified in the central portion of one or more celestial bodies.
