Agb Stars: Stellar Envelopes, Agb Stars: Mass Loss

Scientific paper

The velocity field of an axisymmetric, rotating and expanding envelope
of AGB stars is studied. The results show that the mass-loss rate
increases from the pole towards the equatorial plane while the outflow
velocity increases monotonically from the equatorial plane towards the
pole.
