A redshift survey of a diameter-limited sample of southern galaxies has
been performed by the Observatorio Nacional in collaboration with the
Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. Redshift data are presented
for 442 galaxies. A relatively small mean difference of -5.2 km/s was
found between the present redshifts and previous radio data.
