A burst of comet Hale-Bopp on 1996 April 22 was observed with the 1.56 m
telescope and Series 200 CCD camera system. The white light magnitudes
of the comet on Apr 22 was about 0.2 magnitudes brighter than that on
Apr 21, it also returned to normal brightness in the next night. The
FWHM of the comet head also varied correspondingly.
