The relativistic geometric time delay of VLBI is derived using the
barycentric reference system (BRS). The influence of relativistic
effects on various celestial bodies is discussed. A VLBI observation
model for the geocentric reference system (GRS) is obtained using a
BRS-GRS transformation.
