Several typical star complexes are described and their chief parameters
are estimated. The mass and velocity dispersion have values comparable
with those observed in giant gas complexes, which occur just as often as
star complexes in spiral and irregular galaxies. One can infer that the
star-formation process is concentrated in giant gas complexes.
