We present results from two studies of the nature of radio galaxies. The first presents Spitzer observations of the nearest radio galaxy, Centaurus A. Spectral mapping with IRS detects infrared line emission associated with knots in the inner X-ray/radio jet, providing a useful diagnostic for understanding the interaction between the jet and the host galaxy. The second project utilizes the Combined EIS-NVSS Survey Of Radio Sources (CENSORS) to assess the evolution of the radio galaxy population over cosmological timescales. The recently updated CENSORS redshift distribution, in combination with other radio surveys allows a direct measurement of the evolution of the comoving number density of powerful radio sources from the local Universe to a redshift of 4.
