The motion of chromospheric spicules along the limb is characterized on the basis of spectrographic observations in the H-alpha line obtained using the horizontal solar telescope at Shemakha Astrophysical Observatory. Observing parameters include image diameter 162 mm, second-order dispersion 1.18 A/mm, slit dimensions 20 mm x 50 microns, frame frequency 3/s, image velocity 3 arcsec/s, distance between neighboring frames 1 arcsec, and exposure time 200 ms. The distances separating the members of three pairs of spicules are measured over their entire height and during their entire 'joint life', and the time dependence is determined, taking the possible effect of inaccuracy in choosing measuring height into account; the results are presented graphically. Tangential motion at velocities comparable to the radial velocities is confirmed, suggesting that tangential and radial motion are components of overall spicule motion. Oscillatory motion along the limb with a period of 3.5 min is observed in one pair.
