We propose to image in the HCN(1-0) line the giant molecular clouds associated with star clusters formation in the compact dwarf galaxy He2-10 which is experiencing a vigorous starburst. The aim is to identify and derive the properties of the (super) giant molecular clouds out of which the super star clusters form. The angular resolution of 2.5 arcsecond, corresponding to a linear resolution of ˜60pc, is well matched with the expected size of these molecular clouds. Single dish IRAM-30m observations ensure that HCN(1-0) emission in this galaxy is relatively strong and suggest that we will be able to detect the line emission with a S/N 10 in several channels. Our ultimate goal is to compare the properties of extragalactic starburts with galactic mini-starburst regions, both environment will be observed at comparable linear resolutions.
