On October 26 - 27, 2000 a two-day meeting was held at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, ``The Starry Universe: The Cecilia Payne-Gaposchkin Centenary." Approximately 100 people gathered to hear talks by her former students, people who knew her and experts in some of the fields in which she worked during her career. Her daughter, Kathy Haramundanis, gave an extensive illustrated talk with pictures of Cecilia from the age of one year to her sixties. There were talks on Variable Stars, the Chemistry of Stars, Hydrogen and the Large Scale Galaxy Distribution, Star Formation, Cepheids and the Distance Scale, Symbiotic Binary Stars, Stellar Spectroscopy, and Open Clusters. Owen Gingerich opened the meeting with a paper on ``The Most Brilliant Ph.D. Thesis Ever Written in Astronomy" and Virgina Trimble concluded the meeting with a paper, ``Cecilia and the Rest of the Universe." The meeting was organized by Owen Gingerich with an organizing committee of Andrea Dupree, Kathy Haramundanis, David Latham, Davis Philip and Virginia Trimble. The proceedings are being published by the L. Davis Press, edited by Philip and Koopmann. In the poster paper summaries of the twelve papers presented at the meeting will be given as well as historical photos and photos of meeting participants.
