The magnetic field in the three large star-forming globules L810, B335, and ESO 210-6A has been mapped by near-infrared polarimetry of background stars. L810 and B335 show bent magnetic field lines, while in ESO 210-6A, the field lines point away from the center of the Gum nebula. These magnetic field structures are interpreted in a model based on the interaction of a globule with an expanding interstellar shell.
