GSC 1404 1687 (Cancer) [TYC 1404-1687-1, α(2000) = 09h 14m 25.932s (ICRS), δ(2000) = +18° 53’ 54.39 (ICRS)] is a late, G1V-type, contact (fill-out =42%), q (mass ratio) = 0.23, eclipsing, A-type W UMa binary. The solution reveals a small but significant third light. UBVRcIc light curves, a period study and a simultaneous Wilson Code solution are reported here. This work results from our Fall 2009-2010 undergraduate research program.
