The source counts and the graininess of the background radiation derived
sfrom the Uhuru survey are found to be incompatible. Either the counts
do snot extend below 3 ct/s as given, or they are severely contaminated.
In seither case the bulk of the keV background radiation must be due to
ssources other than those discovered thus far.
