A series of high-precision B, V photoelectric measurements were carried out for the variable star HZ Her (Her X-1) in 1978, covering the phases near primary minimum during the 'off' state of the 35d cycle. Comparison with previous results confirms the appreciable asymmetry of the light curve relative to the phase phi = 0 as well as an asymmetric shape for the emitting region of the accretion disk. It is concluded that the X-ray flux may have significant anisotropy.
