It has been shown on the basis of a combined analysis of data on the large-scale magnetic field of the Sun, manifestations of solar activity, and the parameters of the solar wind and the interplanetary magnetic field that a high-velocity solar wind flows predominantly out of the near-polar regions of the equivalent equatorial central dipoles. Activity complexes are characterized by a strong large-scale magnetic field at the photosphere and in the lower corona and are sources of discrete increases of the modulus of the interplanetary magnetic field. In some activity complexes coronal holes, which are sources of high-velocity streams of solar wind, can be formed as a result of readjustment of the magnetic field.
