Three hundred previously unmeasured rotational transitions of the internal rotor 13CH3OH (13C methanol) involving the rotational quantum number J ≤ 9 have been studied in the millimeter- and submillimeter-wave regions of the spectrum. These data, consisting mainly but not exclusively of transitions in the lowest (υt = 0) torsional state, have been combined with previous data at lower frequencies into a global data set which has been analyzed via an internal axis method. The resulting rotational constants have been utilized to predict the frequencies of numerous additional lines of interest to astronomers.
